Riding is an integral part of the Kennolyn tradition. The fun of being around
the horses and the high standards of equestrian instruction available tempt nearly
all our campers to enjoy a riding activity. For the large majority of our campers
we have classes that combine English and Western riding styles. Campers alternate
between English riding in the ring and Western on the trail. We feel it is
important for campers to learn both styles. However, for campers who are
experienced riders with advanced skills we focus on building English skills and
technique in the ring.
VaultingIf campers are unsure or nervous about riding, or are experienced and are looking for a new challenge, we have the perfect solution--Vaulting. Vaulting, or gymnastics on horseback, is enjoying a speedy growth in popularity throughout the United States. Specially trained horses are lunged in a circle while campers learn to mount and perform gymnastic routines. It is great confidence booster and a safe, exciting way to overcome any fear of horses. Of course, experienced riders also enjoy the challenge of vaulting and can put together routines for parent's day. Have you already signed up for riding?! click here to find out what to bring SAVE
